The Sweet Sound of Armageddon (SSA), is a story about a young angel name Asher. Asher was born in a unique way to foreshadow the upcoming events of the prophecy made at the beginning of the time of the Humans. This prophecy entailed the destruction of Heaven and Earth, should this angel sing. Any song at all. He could be praising God, Lucifer, or singing a ridiculous Hannah Montana song, it will happen. Which is devastating for the poor boy because...well all Angels sing. At a young age they're filtered into choirs to sing while other angels go about their daily tasks, in a good mood.
Why not kill him while he's a child then? Save the time and effort of him growing up and catching onto the fact he's so very different. Well, in my story at least, children do not die in heaven. If you die as a child and go to heaven, you are forever a child. You retain your pure, innocence for eternity. And Angels that are born, are always born. There is never a 'miscarriage' from the egg, even if hatched too early...but that's not a pretty sight...a living embryo, floating around in the water...
In any case, once the angel reaches 16, it's not a child any more, and can die. Ash is sent to Earth (I will not mention more, it's spoilers...) and left on the doorstep of a man named James.
Every one has a guardian angel to watch over and protect them, right? Well when you turn to sin for so long, the angel will leave you, your chances of dieing are heightened and you then have a guardian demon who will compel you to do the darkest and cruelest of things (explains those murders where you're like, "Why? What was the purpose? How can some one DO that?" Well in this case, it's those guardian demons).
James has neither angel nor demon. His select angel and select demon killed each other trying to get James to make a decision concerning his ex-girlfriend. She wronged him in many ways...and he finally had her tied up in front him...what happens, I won't say again. =3
Anyways, James finds this boy, doesn't know he's an angel, and Asher doesn't remember a thing aside from his name and that he shouldn't sing. Together, they live, and demons catch wind of Asher being alive and easy to get...
Then comes many demons attempts and failures and successes to get Asher, entailing another full scale war between Heaven and Hell- BUT.
Who will win?
Will Asher sing?
WHO KNOWS.
I DO.
And you will too if you keep reading SSA.
